The Blood Donation Federation of Catalonia, in the name of the 35 Blood Donation Associations of Catalonia, would like to send their most sincere condolences to the families of the victims and to all of the people affected by the terrible attack in Barcelona.
The network of blood donors everywhere in Catalonia unite together today as one voice to show our outrage and strong sentiments for these events.
We would like to thank the hundreds of people that have offered to donate blood in these frightening and uncertain times. We, like the Blood and Tissue Bank, recommend donors to spread their donations out over the next few days, so that we will be able to take advantage of all of the contributions. At the current time, we have enough blood reserved to assist the wounded.
Following this statement, we encourage all public institutions and organisations to re-establish the normal state of affairs as soon as possible, which is what our citizens of this country deserve. Furthermore, doing so will help weed out the individuals responsible for this atrocity and bring them to justice.
Additionally, we would like to thank all of the efforts of our security units and the rest of the involved institutions for their commitment and dedication to bringing light to these cruel and unjust acts.
